How to Use SubSaturator by Monakai
SubSaturator is the fastest way to add movement and harmonic grit to your sub bass. This tutorial walks you through install, activation, and the main controls.

1. Install SubSaturator
- Download
SubSaturator-By-Monakai-Complete-Package.zipfrom your license email. - Extract the zip and run
SubSaturator_Installer.exe. - If Windows SmartScreen appears, right-click the file, choose Properties, click Unblock, or run
UNBLOCK-ALL.bat. - Restart your DAW and scan for new VST3 plugins.
2. Activate Your License
- Insert SubSaturator on a bass track.
- When prompted, enter the license key from your email.
- The plugin verifies online once, then works offline.
3. Dial In the Sound
- Saturation — the main knob. Start around 30% and increase until the sub moves.
- LFO Rate — tempo-synced speed of the saturation modulation.
- LFO Amount — how much the saturation swells. Keep it moderate on sub frequencies.
- Waveform — sine for smooth movement, sample & hold for glitchy texture.
Kai's tip: Place SubSaturator directly on your sub bass track or low synth. Use a slow sine LFO at low Amount for subtle analog-style movement.
